Young designers competition 02.2.20 is one of the most important projects of Moscow Design Week, intended to support new designers in Russia, to give them a chance to express themselves in an international arena and to present their projects to a wide professional public in Russia, Milan, Dubai and other countries. The concept of the competition involves the participation of young designers and students from design and architecture universities in the following nominations: 0,2 meters from the human body - clothes, accessories; 2 meters from the human body - furniture, household’s, work’s and leisure’s items; 20 meters from the human body - the city, the landscape. The most interesting projects will be shown during the event in Milan. Besides the winners of the competition, chosen by the permanent curator Giulio Cappellini, will present their works at the Moscow Design Week in October 2017.
Undoubtedly one of the main topics of the event in Smeg showroom was the presentation of INTERNI magazine Russian version’s April issue. Editors talked about the change of format, the transition to a new, glossy level, and also about the unique projects that they are preparing for their readers this year.
The evening culminated with the concert of Italian youth chamber orchestra UKOM® (United Kids of Music) under the direction of conductor Carlo Taffuri. «Music is a universal language that inspires the whole world. For UKOM’s young musicians, united by the spiritual power of classical works, it is a great honour to prove once more that beauty and creativity have no boundaries», - noted Carlo Taffuri, conductor of UKOM Orchestra and president of ImmaginArte Association.
